At Wellcamp we recognise and support three broad groups of special needs children: those with learning difficulties, those with low incidence disabilities (vision impaired, hearing impaired, physically impaired; speech/language impaired, intellectually impaired) and those who are gifted and talented.
The school is resourced with a Learning Support Teacher and a Special Education teacher. Staff visit the school two days a week and co-ordinate a number of support programs within the school.
Children experiencing learning, social or behavioural problems may be referred to the Guidance Officer, Speech Therapist or other appropriate special services visiting staff who will be able to provide assistance.
If you have any concerns regarding your child, please contact your class teacher to discuss the best available support options.
