Parent teacher communication

It is our belief that the partnership between families and school is crucial to student achievement. For this partnership to be effective parents and class teachers need to communicate sensitively and respectfully.

Should parents require any information, or have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at school, either by visiting or telephoning. We strongly recommend that parents make contact with their child’s teacher if they have any questions or concerns about matters relating to their child. Parents are encouraged to get to know their child’s teacher, and if possible, try to take an active part in school activities and organisations. By taking an interest in what your child is doing at school you will help them to develop to their fullest potential.

In semester one interviews are offered to discuss student goals, strengths and further areas for improvement. Interviews are again offered at the end of semester two.

Our fortnightly newsletter is available on the school website every second Thursday afternoon which helps keep parents informed of events and happenings at school. For those who do not have access to a computer a hardcopy is available at the office. Parents are encouraged to read this informative newsletter, as it is an important means of communication between school and home. We encourage parents to use the Qschools app which is a free download. This app will keep you up-to-date and allow you to add all the important school dates to the calendar in your phone. We also have a school Facebook page where we share what is happening at school as well as give reminders for upcoming events.
