State of Origin Fundraiser for Heart Kids

HeartKids Queensland knows what life is like living with a childhood heart
condition. Since 1984, they have been offering support, encouragement and
hope to Queensland families of children with Heart Disease, while raising
awareness and vital research funding into the causes of this chronic disease.
In 2013, Childhood Heart Disease (CHD) is the biggest cause of child
mortality and early childhood hospitalisation. Every day in Australia, 8
children are born with CHD, and every week 4 young Australians die from
its consequences. HeartKids' mission is to help and represent those affected
by Childhood Heart Disease in Queensland.
Imogen (Presten & Bryson’s baby sister) was born with a
Congenital Heart Disease and was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot at the
age of 3 months. She will undergo open heart surgery in a couple of months’
time to repair her heart. There may be a possibility of additional operations as
she gets older. As you see her she is a very happy, smiley and loveable little
girl – she sure puts a smile on everyone’s face she meets.
To raise funds for “Immie” and HeartKids Queensland we held an Origin Colourd day for a gold coin
donation today. We managed to raise $210.20.
Thanks to everyone who participated!
